Romantic Lilac Yogurt Smoothie

Grapes, a "super fruit", is the main ingredient of this smoothie.  Resveratrol, a phytonutrient present in the grapes skin, improves the function of our blood vessels, thus promotes better cardiovascular health.  Grape seeds contain super antioxidant compound - Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPC).  Consuming grapes may also alleviate the pain of knee osteoarthritis.


So, eat the whole grape, don't spit out the skin or seeds!  The best way to enjoy eating this whole fruit, is to blend it.  However, diabetics drink this smoothie in moderation.

Ingredients


Ingredients  (for 4 servings)

300g       yogurt

1/4 cup   sprouts of your choice

1             apple, diced
1 cup      fresh/frozen dark grapes
1/2 cup   blanched purple cabbage
1/4 cup   fresh/frozen blueberries
5 slices of ginger
1             lime/lemon, skin removed.

1TBS      black sesame powder

1TBS      flaxseed
1TBS      pumpkin seeds
1TBS      sunflower seeds
1TBS      walnut
1TBS      almond
1TBS      cashew nuts

Instructions


- Put in the ingredients into the blender, in the order listed above.





- Blend for one minute or less, depends on blender strength.
- Voila!  Enjoy this Romantic Lilac Yogurt Smoothie to a healthier heart.
